XPRESSGAS LIMITED WINS TWO (2) PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS AT THE GHANA OIL AND GAS AWARDS 2019

At the just-ended 6^th edition of the Ghana Oil and Gas Awards (GOGA) 2019, an awards ceremony held to commend and commemorate companies going the extra mile in the industry, Xpress Gas Limited was adjudged the:

• Innovative Product of the year (Swap N Go) and
• Emerging Brand of the year

The Company beat off stiff competition from other Oil Marketing Companies to win the coveted prizes at the GOGA 2019  held at Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra on the 13^th of December, 2019.

The Ghana Oil and Gas Awards remains the largest industry initiative dedicated to championing excellence endorsed by the Ministry of Energy in Partnership with industry stakeholders like the National Petroleum Authority and Ghana Oil and Gas Service Providers Association.

The Ghanaian economy has become increasingly reliant on energy to sustain growth since oil and gas resources present enormous opportunities for economic development. In order to achieve this collective goal of economic development, GOGA commemorates companies in the industry doing their very best to help grow the industry in their own strategic ways, by holding awards ceremonies to boost the credibility of nominated companies and to also make companies assess themselves and identify areas for improvement.

Commenting on the awards, The General Manager of XpressGas Limited, Mrs. Maureen Darko dedicated the awards to all stakeholders of the organization. “We dedicate these awards to our staff, customers, and stakeholders for remaining loyal to our brand. It is a great joy to be recognized at the 2019 GOGA for our performance and we are grateful to the organizers of the event for nominating us for these prestigious awards’’.

She stressed that in the coming year XpressGas will continue to go the extra mile to deploy marketing strategies that will enhance the business outlook of all its stations. Adding that we will forever be the best, most innovative and safest Clean Cooking Gas Company of choice to all Ghanaian households, food vendors, bakeries and commercial kitchens.

Swap ‘N’ Go, winner of the “Innovative Product of the year” is a unit of Xpress Gas that aims at bringing LPG to the doorstep of consumers. It is an on-demand LPG delivery service that ensures availability, accessibility, affordability and safe usage of clean cooking LPG. Swap ‘N’ Go as a door to door delivery service helps LPG users save cost and also deal with inconveniences such as carrying their cylinders to a refilling outlet where they could either experience a shortage of the product or join long queues before they are served.

The Guest of honour, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam (Deputy Minister of Energy) congratulated all the award winners for their commitment and contributions to the growth and expansion of the oil and gas sector in Ghana. He further challenged Indigenous Oil and Gas Companies to build capacities that will help the country to discover more oil and gas.

In all, 31 Companies and 11 Individuals were honoured for their distinguished contributions to the industry and it was an honour to have Xpress Gas win two prestigious awards that night.
